Mood—Metallic, electronic, and a little sterile.

Sample: "Changes"

Thoughts— This is a pretty simple, perhaps minimalist album. That is to say, there's not a lot going on. However, that lack of diversity helps to tie it together.

Charissa Saverio has fully capitalized on being a relatively attractive female DJ, but that superficial accolade comes in at a distant second to her actual skills as an artist and her business acumen. She runs and manages two labels, is a skilled producer and has no qualms about crossing the often strict genre lines, where club music is concerned.

Learning Curve is hard to pin down in terms of a defined style, despite its homogeny. It's relatively medium paced, with tinges of industrial instrumentation, and somewhat typical sliding, breathy vocals.

While I don't really feel there are many stand out tracks on this album, there are some little places here and there in a few songs that really struck me as enjoyable. During the breakdown in "Bad Behavior", around the 3:02 mark, there's a synth sound in there that I found incongruous and highly enjoyable.

Recommended? You could probably do without this one.
